Consulting

Dr. Roxanne Moore loves applying her diverse knowledge to new challenges in both industry and education. With her passion for mentorship and fluency across technical and artistic disciplines, Dr. Moore loves serving as a connector and advising on challenges that are interdisciplinary and involve multiple stakeholders.

Across both academic settings and industry settings, particularly where many stakeholders need to find common ground, Dr. Moore is a firm believer in asking the right questions and building bridges by concisely summarizing contributions from other team members in a way that resonates across audiences. A natural analogical thinker, Dr. Moore sparks innovation by bringing concepts from seemingly unrelated fields to the table and asking how that idea applies in this space.

Dr. Moore studied systems engineering as a graduate student and is a believer in finding common objectives across technical, creative and managerial teams. She is comfortable communicating with business leaders in upper management as well as engineers, software developers, and artists working at different scales of development.

Through her work at Georgia Tech, Dr. Moore is also an experienced curriculum developer who is versed in pedagogical best practices (ie how to teach effectively). She has coached numerous K-12 teachers on how to teach advanced content, including computer science, engineering, and invention, even if they are not trained in those areas. She is also an experienced grant writer and is very accustomed to pitching ideas to different audiences in order to attract funding.

Combining the work of her PhD and her experience leading multidisciplinary teams, Dr. Moore loves to improve design processes and ensure people are focused on projects and initiatives that will yield the greatest impact. She is also passionate about responsible AI usage for design and designing AI strategies that will empower the people that drive them. While many companies and educational entities are excited to incorporate AI, Dr. Moore believes that AI is only as effective as the people and processes driving it.
